Important Travel Notes!
- We are Saint John, New Brunswick… not St. John’s, Newfoundland. It’s a long swim back to us if you book your flight to the wrong spot. St. John’s is a nice place to visit too, but if you want to make it to CAiNE 2012, then you’ve gotta come to Saint John, New Brunswick
The location for CAiNE 2012 (Delta Brunswick Hotel) is in Brunswick Square. There’s a small mall inside Brunswick Square – including a food court, Starbucks and a Tim Horton’s. Brunswick Square is also connected via pedway to the City Market, City Hall and Market Square which include more shops, restaurants, and the New Brunswick Museum. It also runs adjacent to some of the busier uptown areas. There’s a comic shop nearby, many really nice restaurants and shops and some great scenery. King Square nearby is also the major hub for the city buses which can take you to the east and west sides of town (and the major shopping centers) pretty quickly. You can also reach the East Side shopping centers (McAllister Place, East Point Shopping) via cab for about $8 + $1 per passenger.
Things to do
If you’re looking for things to do while in Saint John (in between the awesome games, of course — heck, come a day early!) then check out the Tourism Saint John website. It lists attractions, shopping centers, restaurants etc.

In the interest of showing off our lovely city (and not being the only one going out and taking pictures) I have requested photos from my local members. I will post them in galleries by ‘photographer’. I hope you enjoy!

And don’t miss out on a professionally done promotional video that the city of Saint John (NB) has just released to the public on Youtube!
Our very own Frank Duguay is featured around 1:24 – 1:27 (he’s the guy in the middle of the stage in tails-tux, performing as Riff Raff in Rocky Horror this past September/October):
